Our SAA Officer, Mr Matthew has just came back from Cambodia. He asked our club if anyone of your is interested to do a oversea volunteer work at Cambodia. The date for the Trip will be from 22nd Feb 2007 to 10th March 2007. The exact price for us to pay for the trip is still not confirm yet. But for now, he tell us that we will be paying 30% of the trip. He needed 8 to 10 leos for this trip. Any Leos interested can u please sms me, Andrew(94370339), your details. Thanks for viewing...

1) Leo Club Christmas Party

This Party will involve all Leo Club from Singapore so it would be a great exposure for our new members to meet up with Leos from other Clubs.

Date: Date: 23 December 2006 (Sat)
Time: 5.30PM - 9.00PM
Venue: Function room, Chuan Park (Serangoon)
Dresscode: Red, Green, White
Cost per pax: $8 (student); $15 (non-student)

2) Medan International Trip

SP Rotaract Club is organising an international trip to Medan. They will be visiting orphanage, local dialysis centre, conduct student exchange and etc. The total costs will be $500 and the trip is from 19 Dec to 24 Dec. Pls do contact Patsy (91394081) if you are interested.

Hi... this updates are for those who miss our club meeting on the 04/12/06 meeting. Hereby, i'm updating on wat we had discuss about for our meeting yesterday. There was a totally of 12members who have attended the meeting.

Firstly, is the confirmation of membership list... For those members who think that they are too busy with their studies or they have no interest in joining our clubs, please sms or call Patsy(91394081) to inform her... Thanks... this is because we need to confirm our membership list.

Secondly, our B.O.D has brought out an issue of forming a sub committee for all our B.O.D... There is 7 directors post which need to have a sub committee and they are:

1)Secretary
2)Membership Secretary
3)Treasurer
4)Project Director
5)Public Relation Director
6)Publication Director
7)CSCC Director

For those who is interested to be the sub committee of any one of the post can just sms your interest to me(Andrew) at 94370339 and tell me your name, admission no and position u like to hold.

Thirdly, we had discuss about some of our upcoming projects and future projects. As we do not have all the info on the upcoming projects, i hereby hope that all members will try their best to check up the blog when they are free to check for updates on the events. Below is some events we have tok about yesterday.

1st) Tampines East CC YEC Christmas Carnival

Event: Christmas Carnival for the needy families
Venue: Tampines East Community Centre
Date 23/12/06
Time: Est. whole day
Helpers Needed For: Refreshment, Security, Games Stores, Logistics

Through the meeting i had currently got 11 members who wan to help up in this event, any more other leos who are interested in joining this event can sms me(Andrew) at 94370339 or Alex at 91194742. For those who have write down their names for the event pls make sure that u r free on the 23 dec 2006.

2nd) Car Washing

We have proposed a car washing event in SP to raise fund for our clubs for our future projects. This project has not confirm yet as we just submit our proposal to SAA. Once it is approved, we hope that all members can come down to plan together for this event. So pls keep a look out on the blogs.

3rd) Breaking Of World Records

Fourth, we have tok about the issue of how can our B.O.D contacts all members about meeting and events. We got replies that sms or email will be a better way. As our B.O.D are all year 2 and year 3, we might not have the time to inform everyone, so pls try to check up on the blog for details k, Thanks Alot... Or members can try to help us in contacting other members by joining the membership secretary committee... Thanks.

Lastly, our B.O.D has decided that our club should have a monthly general meeting to have a club bonding and update on all issue. So we have fix the meeting on every first monday of every month at 5pm at our club house. Hope all members can attend all these meeting in order to know wat the clubs are doing. We do not only do community services but as well as organise alot of activities... So next meeting will be on 8/01/2007.
